Due to recent incidents, I feel the need to remind everyone that:
1. I do not gain any thing from this game. I don't gain any money, no publicity, zilch, nada.
2. Thus I am not responsible for cleaning up anyone's mess, I'm doing it from my own goodwill.
3. If I do have to clean up whatever mess anyone caused, I'm cleaning it the way I deem fair.
4. Rules haven't been updated for a long time, and since we lack coders, please use your common sense when determine if your action should be deemed fair and within the rules.
5. Please don't protest against my final decision, you can give suggestions, which I can choose to accept, or ignore.
Battle script is now changed so that if you lose to an NPC while having more money than 36 times your power, the NPC will disappear.
There ought to be a few bugs lurking around. Any bugs found please post in the forum so I can look at them.
A few FAQ:
1) Yes, stamina regen does stack! This means if you have 3 Sobi mask, you'll be gaining your normal 1 stamina + 3 extra stamina every 5 minutes !
2) I know not many people can use the basher yet, but the Chance to bash is actually stacks with Diminishing returns. So if you have 2 bashers, it won't be 30% chance to bash, but slightly lower than that. (for actual formula, I'll post later).
3) The HP boost effect (only basher has it currently) is TEMPORARY and only active while you're battling. Your total power will NOT go up. If you fight in debug mode, you'll see the temporary HP boost.
The battling script is finally integrated to accommodate new items, after much sweat and blood shed debugging. I still have some further code to finish up though before releasing this.
Namely, the item shop. Also, I need to work on some formula to ensure the price is fair and the items worth buying, etc... Add enough items for low and high level, make a selling script... Oh, not to mention editing the stamina regen script so that stamina regen items work.
I am thinking of getting this done as soon as possible, so probably finishing everything this weekend.
No new amazing updates so far, but I have rewritten the whole battling script in preparation for the new items system update. The script is now MUCH smaller and simpler to code with, but I'm still testing for bugs before releasing it.
That item system is being slowly coded into existence.
This new item system will be far better than the old weapon / armor system that I coded for SW2. Have a small look at my profile for a sneak peek. And yes, I know the images are stolen. (i don't care until we have a graphic artist)
Joining us in this batch of updates is the Mail and Events feature. Mail is pretty standard in any game, so I won't say much about that. But Event is an important feature to have in the future, where we could post global events there for people to see (such as new dynasty being created, a boss NPC being spawned, a local dynasty war broke out, etc...)
It seems that my test server differs from the live server environment. This means that during the course of updating files, some bugs popped up, and even though I strive to fix them as soon as I see them, I apologize for the inconveniences it might have caused you while playing.
With that said, please don't hesitate to post the bugs in Jon's SW forum (the onsite new forum isn't set up yet). Please, if you see me on the Players list, try NOT to tell me about bugs. It is very distracting to see new bugs while working on something, and I'd much prefer fixing them while looking at the bugs forum.
