Internet Spam is a serious problem. Samurai War does not condone Spam
or any of it's forms. Here is mail-abuse.org's definition of Spam:
"An electronic message is "spam" IF: (1) the recipient's
personal identity and context are irrelevant because the message is
equally applicable to many other potential recipients; AND (2) the
recipient has not verifiably granted deliberate, explicit, and
still-revocable permission for it to be sent; AND (3) the transmission and
reception of the message appears to the recipient to give a
disproportionate benefit to the sender."
Examples of Spam include, but are not limited to:
Repeatedly displaying your Samurai War link in chat rooms
Posting your Samurai War link in improper sections of message boards
(look for an "advertisements" section or similar)
Sending unwanted email with your link
Sending your link indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists,
individuals, or newsgroups
Any player of Samurai War that is caught spamming will be punished to
our discretion. Examples of punishment include, but are not limited to one
or more of the following:
Reduction of player statistics/money
Account suspension
Permanent account termination
Permanent account termination and IP address ban
To stay safe, here are some guidelines on to what is considered
"okay":
Giving your link ONCE to your friends and people you know personally
Posting your link on your own personal web site
Posting your link ONCE in a chat room with people you know personally
Emailing your friends or people you know personally with your link
ONCE
Noticed the repeated "ONCE"s. One thing that makes Spam so
bad is that it is repeated. If someone didn't click your link the first
time, there is no reason why they would click it if you posted it multiple
times after that.
